Crucial Mods>>>>>>>>
For a Prelude , suspension mods are the way to go - you're making an already good car GREAT. Rear sway from Progress or Neuspeed, Koni Yellows, Ground Control adjustable coilover sleeves (can pick a street or track-ready setup based on spring rate choices and potential revalve of the Konis). Maybe a Neuspeed front strut brace. Then get the best tires that you can afford.
As far as engine mods go, its really all or nothing with the Prelude. Bolt ons make very little power on the H22 engine - don't throw your money away on off the shelf headers and exhausts if you want to make power. You can get a custom header like SMSP or Hytech and pair it with a custom 2.5" exhaust and then get solid tuning like Neptune or Hondata to make 200whp. You'll need a built motor or turbo/supercharger to really see big power gains.
In my opinion, if you're just looking to kick your car up a notch, do suspension and tires, get an exhaust that sounds nice, and call it a day. If you want a fast car, buy something else
or spend a ton of $$ on a turbo setup.

Sure, just be safe about it. It'll take it's toll on your car as time passes, but everything does that. May as well enjoy it while it lasts. Just don't go to the track with no idea how they operate. Better safe than sorry.
And for crucial modifications to the car and not the driver.
I think the crucial mods would be bolt-ons. If your'e going to get into the internals you need bolt-ons to back up your new heads, your new cams or what not. The engine works as a system and you should treat it that way.
More importantly to me than making power is handling, but that's just me. If I was to modify my prelude I would start by buying a well known brand of adjustable coilovers, read reviews before you do so. Than get a sportier tire, tires control everything, handling, braking, acceleration everything.
Wrapping it up... To me, I belive you should throughly research modifying your car before you start to do it, understand what your doing and the parts work. Than start on whatever seems more important to you, suspension, power, or bling-bling.
*Don't choose the bling-bling option.

On my 4th gen I have airmass header(got for free who cares) Injen intake with P13spoon chip. I still have my stock exhaust. It give a good little get up and go but I have to do some tuning. Im considering stage 1 cams or going with type S cams , and cam gears a mild port and polish on the head and intake manifold with throttle body to match and a good exhaust set up. The cams should help make some good gains paired with the mild port and polish cause in CA you have to be somewhat carefull due to smog.

This is the information that will make the thread meaningful. What are your intended goals? Are you interested in competition, and if so, what kind? Aimless modification can take the car in different and possibly contradictory directions. For example,

thanks.... what size wheels would you say best compliments a PRELUDE?</TD></TR></TABLE>
What does this mean? Are you going for performance or looks? Because "compliments" implies looks IMO, but you say you don't want to go for bling. Different size wheels serve different purposes. So...
What's your goal?
