there's no plug and play universal performance chip.

again, honda's ecm is pretty well tuned if you compare it to VW/Audi's bug infested computer. The gain from tuning in NA form is very very minium.

popular piggy back computer add on:

apexi VAFC/SAFC

Greddy E-manage

again, the gain is minium, apexi would run you about 200 buck, and on top of that you need to dyno tune it, 70-100 per hours.

h22 swap, 2500 or so, diy=free

Most all these performance chips you see marketed on EBay are no more than a fancily packaged $0.30c Resistor which would be available thru Radio Shack.

This is typical: (No endorsement intended)

This guy doesn't even try to hide it. Digital picture taken on his kitchen table's place mat. A $0.99c plastic component box, a resistor, two lengths of wire and a label printed off his home bubble-jet printer.
Come on now, how could anyone believe anything with just two wires can reconfigure a multi microprocessor ECM?

Save your money

LMAO...P.
I have a friend that buys stuff like that. It's not his fault he's just not a car guy. Before he started taking some of my advice his car looked like a blindfolded guy walked down the accessories isle at Pepboys and just pulled random items in the cart.

Hey J88o5.H22 swaps can be had for about $1500.IMO it's the best bang for the buck swap for a CB7 accord. The 90-93 years accords are the easiest to swap the h22 into as well.

It gets worst.
It would seem you can find this stuff advertised in.........'Forums such as this'*.
I can only hope this wouldn't constitute an endorsement on the part of H-T.

Case in point:

????????????????????

if you're looking for N/A power, H22...otherwise you're gonna need to boost that baby to keep costs down.

h22 will set you back around 3k, including tranny(lsd), new ecu, etc

Dont expect to get your accord fast with like $50. Save up for some serious swapping or dont bother. Theres no such thing as "cheap speed"

Options:
H22 Swap
Turbocharge that beast
keep it stock and get a project car that doesnt weigh 2800 lbs
