? about 4-door handle swap on crx, do i need to use differrent rods?
Because i put the door handles on but i could not open the door from the outside, do i need to use differrent rods that go into the handle?
I'm assuming that you're swapping the rears to your crx?
If so, I did it, and no, you use the same rods. It's been several years, but I did have to get it just right to make it open the door and stay in place nicely when closed. Did you reuse the plastic ends? I think that I had some issues with those, and once I figured it out, the rest of the install was fine.
If you're talking about the fronts, I have no idea.

Now that you mentioned the plastic ends i noticed that on my stock handles its towards the rear and on the 4-door handles its in the middle, will that be a problem still?

Geez, now you're asking me to remember from about 4-5 years ago! I'm too old to do that.
I did it one of two ways - either got it to work with the sedan handles as they are, or I switched over the metal bar from the crx handles to the sedan. I really cannot remember which. I do remember that I f*cked up the first handle I did, and had to use some parts from another rear sedan handle I had. I don't think that info helps at all, but it's sumthin!
What I'll do is the following: I am going down to my parents' this weekend, where I put the crx into hibernation. Luckily, the car's pretty gutted for my rollbar, so accessing the handle assembly from the inside won't be much of a problem. I'll look and see what I did, and take some pics. I won't be able to post pics til Monday night, but at least I'll be able to verify what I did to you.
Good luck in the meantime.

were the backs of the handles identical?

i didnt know modding was needed for this swap.
