Any JDM heads in here...What intake is going to fit?
My spoon front comes next month and i need an intake. Ive been PM'ing a few shops, and no one can say for sure what intake is going to work because only a few people have this front bumper, 6 including me

I know for sure the Mugen CAI is going to work, but im not sure if i want to spend 1500$ for one. The J's intake is very nice, and its cheaper than the Mugen, but it also replaces the whole OEM unit.
My main problem is, does anyone know if the snorkel that attaches to the J's chamber is going to clear the spoon grill? I want to make sure it aligns right. I know that i plan to go ITB's, but for now i could use an intake to get me by. I need to start tuning, and this is the last BPU i need before i go EMS and some motor work.
Any insite is appreciated. Please don't flame the spoon front

while i agree with you since it looks ricerish and doesn't do anything unless its used to for cooling and aerodynamics on the track, this thread isn't to flame. And off the top of my head I count 11 people who have the S-Tai front bumper, sure there are plenty more out there.
J's intake will fit but doesn't fit with that intake hole. J's intake contours to fit the OEM bumpers opening. That bumper is designed for a spoon snorkle, you shouldn't be looking for anything else unless its for show only then it wouldn't matter what fits and what doesn't.

It's aggressive and at the same time purposeful. Sometime function reigns a bit higher than form, so you bite the bullet for what's important: winning.

The bumper does look bad on some colors. But on white or black, it hides the lines more and i think it flows pretty well.
*sorry i have no informative input about the intake question

ususally i am one that will always put function in front of form. but seriously, the first time i saw this...i just though, ugly. even now, its grown on me a bit more...but still eh.
j's type s (love it)
mugen ss front (love it)
c-west front (love it)
those are there that are aerodynamically probably just as good if not better than the spoon. but they all have a leg up, since...they actually look good

You can run pretty much any variant of the j's and spoon intakes that snorkel towards the stock radiator opening. Obviously, you'll have to cut the intakes short in order to fit the opening in the spoon bumper.

Just look at it. Green wheels? That Spoiler? And that bumper
Com'on, thats just not right. For a track car, yes that thing is pretty smooth. But for a street car, its awful.

A & J cars drive more on the track than they do on the street
but im sure you knew that already

Hahhaha listen to this guy. Speak for yourself, because I have no problems modding my car or taking it to the tracks.
