Valve Lash Adjustment

I have a question on were am I suppose to stick the feeler gauge? In This picture it looks like he sticking it under the cams is there were im suppose to put the feeler gauge?

Yes, between the cams and the followers (I cannot recall the technical name). This is directly under the cams.
