rear motor mount.. what a b****
wow, i think the most PITA thing for a swap in a 4th gen (and probably 5th) if the rear motor mount.. it took me and my dad helping me liek 2.5 hours to get two f-ing bolts in. with the intake manifold in the way, it's rearly impossible. I'm I still have one botl left and I have no idea how to get to it. it's the rear drivers side bolt... i think i'll have to go from underneath the car and somehow find a way to get it torque'd.. any hints on hwo to make this easier? when I pulled out my h23, the intake manifold was already off so it wasn't that hard to get to.. thanks
Me too, i tried to do it two days ago, well to take it out anyway, i got 2 out of the 4 bolts loose, and then i decided to give up, i needed someone to help me that's why. I'm pretty mad cause i wanted to put in the ES insert.
Is it really that much harder to get to on a 4th gen vs. 5th?
I thought getting the rear mount off my '97 was easier than the front one. More room to swing a wrench.
