an acura dealership called me 2nite and told me that the RSX-R is coming to their dealership in july. when i asked him if he was 100% he said no. is he talking poo?

PS: the reason he called was to update me on our type-R situation and this came up after.

"The car may be released in Janurary 2002."

"The car may be released in March 2002."

"The car may be released in June 2002."

It's all up in the air. You can get one for sure in about 5 months if you call me. As for the Acura dealerships, I was talking to my friend the other day (who works at one) and he said it probably won't be coming to his dealership until December (02) or January (03). It's different for every dealer though.

Honestly, Erin Mills Acura has one in their show room, but it's only for show. Go check it out. It's White in color.

Start saving your pennies. It will eventually appear but don't hold your breath. Bear in mine... by the time the RSX-R will be at your local dealer, you would have already modded your RSX / RSX-S to RSX-R caliber.

 

i dont know about that.

 

An RSX-R will own a Type-S. You can swap all the parts you want, you still won't be able to strengthen the body with thicker areas like the do @ the factory.

For example, when comparing the DC2, the ITR is thicker in 8 places compared to the GS-R.

Myself, I'm debating on waiting for the RSX-R. God knows when it will be here.

 

What are the specs on the new type-R, how does it differ? Anyone got a good website so I can read up?
