Need Help! WTB: RSX Type S
Sup guys, hows it going.... Ok here's the thing, I just recently got my License 1 and a half year ago. My first car is a 99 civic si (luv it). I just recently sold my SI to my sister and shipped it out two weeks ago. Now I need a car and I have absolutely no credit. I have about $9,000 saved up and Im thinking about getting an RSX type S. But first I want to get a loan for $20,000- $25,000 at the bank. Now I need all the tip I can get because Im absolutely NEW in buying a car from the dealer. Therefore, What is the average price of RSX -S? What should I look out for when talking to the dealer? What is the option I need and don't need? Any tip at all would be greatly appreciate it. Most importantly how much should I pay for it? (2006 RSX- Type S)

lol dealers.. haha.. well.. they will try to make the most profit as possible, so when u go to deal with them, have a set price in mind and offer lower then ur price, then slowly go up or let the dealer offer the price and try to get a good deal out of it.
u prolly can get 06 type-s (basic package) $22K-23k, $21 if u can deal right.
as for the options.. w/e i guess... w/e u want... oem body kit?
so go in and test drive the car.. sit down and offer them $20k (now if you offer cash... they'll usually take it around 20k-22k).
if they dont like your offer, walk out and they'll call u the next day to come back in and talk about the price again (which means their thinking of selling the car around ur offered price) LOL
dont believe all the **** the dealer talks about how its selling like hot cakes and they wont be any in stock. they juss want u to buy it now and at their price.. LOL

uummmm.... I dont think so. Very rarley will a dealer let go of an RSX for UNDER invoice. Invoice is what the dealer buys the car for. Check Edmunds.com for more info. Invoice for the 06 type-s is $22,300. I have not seen anyone get a type-s for $20,000. I bought mine last week for $22,800 with fog lights. Check CRSX.com for other info, there is a thread for this exact question.

22800 would be WAY below invoice out the door. If you wanna know, i got my car for 22,300 i believe can't recall, but i KNOW it was 24.2K out the door. So look to pay that after everything and no options. Some people could probably get 24K flat or MAYBE a high 23, but other then that. Also, with ur age and credit with only $9,000 down, kinda doubt someone would loan you 15+ K. Depends on your income and such, it is possible but I truly doubt it. Get a co-signer? parent? family member? If you do get co-signer, it'll GREATLY help your credit
