I was wondering if the kyb agx are the same as the gr-2 with the exception that the agx are adjsutable? I'm on extremely a tight budget and I'm looking for some inexpensive shocks to pair them with h&r sports, I don't care if they are adjsutable or not so I thinking of gr-2. I know tokico makes some non adjustable but I heard bad things about them blowing up quick.

 

No, GR-2's are exact copies of OEM shocks. AGX's are a GREAT upgrade if you are looking for performance upgrades.

 

i had some gr2's blow in less than 3 mos. when dumped on coilovers, save another month and get the agx's, what I have now. .

 

so they are not the same uh? ok I guess that's what I'll mate my H&R sports with. Is hard to pick good aftermarket shocks when you are in low budget. Thanks guys for the feedbacks, I almost get those gr-2.

 

The GR-2 are an OEM and generally dont like to be lowered much. It void's their warranty and probably will blow out.

 

yeah you can't lower much with the gr-2's. i have the h&r race springs with the agx's. my ride is lowered 2.25 and 2.5 on a heavy cb9 accord since 02' and my agx's are still holding up. i even have them set to a notch above medium.
