I'm going to go out on a limb and say where three of the runners come together he'll cut some of the one elbow off to put a turbo flange.

Did you make the one runner merge so abruptly into the other for space considerations?

Thats really bad. Id suggest starting over again. Go in the sponsor section and find someone that sells collectors, buy one of them, and use it. Right now your manifold is a nightmare.

that actually wouldnt be that bad of a design if you had a 3 cylinder engine.

im glad to see you're still fabricating though. I really suggest doing something with that last cylinder thats just sort of "along for the ride" perhaps a real merge between those two pipes at something more like a 20 degree angle and a transition to a larger pipe there would be more appropriate.

I know it sucks to redo stuff, but in some cases (namely the pursuit of performance) its worth it.

hey guys.... thanks for the comments. I will redesign that last runner.. perhaps to come up and under the others... the flange will sit on the top of that elbow i didnt think the 3 4 AND 5 were a bad design... just #1.....

i'll work on it more and take some new pics!

In exhaust dynamics, you can have 3 runners look great, and if one is a stumpy piece of ****, well the exhaust manifold suffers greatly. If you search the archieves you will find a top mount vs ramhorn dyno comparison. Its been said that most of the gains were attributed to the fact that the top mount had a bit more length but also that the runners were EL vs the ramhorn which has runners longer and shorter. Now there only talking about an inch.....

Like I said, get a 4-1 collector. It will make your life a lot easier. I think a bunch of people sell them for ~40ish unwelded. Its $40, and some don't have it, but I'd suggest it would be the right way to go to make the manifold nice.

if you must keep that design then cut the first runner and reweld it angled pointing downwards. how it currently is the exhaust gasses can travel up or down against the engine. its gona be mighty turbulent in that manifold. psi is gona be jumping around.
but if you make the modifications it would be much better. still not great but much much better.

thats much better but i think since number 2 and 4 are pointing at each other they might send some exhaust gases into each other...
but overall much better than the first design.

what not just use a collector???... all of your designs looks like there are some serious flaws which will affect the flow....

well... i am using a t25 and all of the collectors i have seen are for t3 flanges. so the collector would "hang off" the flange.
