F Series Blocks - Iron or Aluminum? I know i know it's a dumb question
I am holding my ground on this one. i know my blocks in my 1991 Honda accord F22A1 is Iron. At least it appears that it is Iron and not aluminum like all my other civics i had. The only reason i ask this is because i made a purchase on ebay for a complete H22 head so i can start building my G22 Hybrid. I called the seller and was Bs'n back and forth about his project and tellin him about mine. he wouldn't let it go that the block in the Accords are Iron. I may actually be wrong on this matter but that's always what i hear about and read on these threads is the block is iron. Someone tell me if i'm goin crazy cause or is this guy wrong? The cars sitting on blocks right now waiting on the Head job(expletive off everyone) and i don't feel like running out to stick a magnet up to it but i'm gonna await a few responses to this question.

Nope, sorry to disappoint you; but The F Series engines are an Aluminum Alloy Block (wet deck) with Ductile Iron Sleeves.
