Default Hondata & P28 chip

Hi, I've got to a stage with my mods where I need to get it on a Dyno & tuned, and want to go for a Hondata S200/S300 setup to do this. Now I've read that I need to get a P28 chip to do this as the P13 is unsuitable, but where do I get one from? I assume I'll also need some type of harness as well? Speaking to some tuners in the UK, they tell me they can source all the parts for me, but are charging silly money. There must be a better/cheaper way for me to source the parts myself, does anyone on here have any links?

Also, there are only a handful of Hondata agents in the UK and both the S200 and S300 are mega expensive. Would it be cheaper for me to buy/import the unit myself, and does anyone know where they can be sourced at a reasonable price?

Thanks in advance.

Yeh cheers, I have been on the Hondata website before, but was really looking for a few more details on what us Lude owners have to do specifically with regards to using a P28 or P72 chip, and where to get them

or if you know how to solder etc..

you can buy a p28 , and modify it yourself. It's not that hard to do

Drop us an email at AVengineering1@aol.com if you have any questions about the hondata units. We are authorized dealers

As far as socketing goes, the ecu is modified and has certain parts installed (soldered in) in order to run the hondata unit. If you do not have any prior experience to soldering ECU boards we do not recommend doing them yourself. I've had several customers try socketing and ruining their ecu's.

Conversion harnesses are only need if you are running a 96-01 prelude. We can also get those for you if you require one. We have pretty much everything in stock right now (s300's, p28's, p72's, obd2-obd1 conversion harnesses)

get a P72, it supports IAB's, the P28 doesn't. According to Hondata, by using the P28 instead of the P72, you'll lose ~8whp.

Thanks guys, Anthony at AV-Engineering is sorting me out with a socketed P72 ECU & Hondata S300. Worked out a lot cheaper than buying in the UK
