Default what are the wires coming off the fan switch? 12v + ??

on my fan switch connector on my 91 dx wit ls swap what are the wires that run to it? problem is i dont have the oem wires any more so can i just take a plug that fits on the fan switch on the thermo stat housing and run them to the fan ? if so how does that work . does one side of the switch wires go to 12v and the other side to + on fan motor? then just grnd other side of fan or what ?

It should supply ground to the cooling fan relay.

Use a relay. Probably the fan motor draws more current than the switch would like.
