Falken Azenis rt-215 or the rt-615 ?
The 615 is replacing the 215, so the 215 is becoming increasingly hard to find. Grassroots Motorsports did a test a while back of both street tires, which included both the 215 and 615 as well as a host of others, and another test of various R-compounds. The 615's wre the fastest of the bunch for street tires, and are supposed to be much better than the 215s on wet roads, still scary in rain, but better than the previous incarnation.

You can't get the RT-615 any more.

The SPT in 205/50-15 is $59 at the Tire Rack.

The price on the RT-615 is almost exactly the same as the RT-215 was before it was discontinued.
The big problem with both Azenis isn't the purchase price; it's the fact that they wear super-fast. You'll wear out about three sets of the Azenis in the time that you'll go through one set of the Yoko ES100 or Kumho SPT. So even though the purchase price per tire of the Azenis is about a third higher than the SPT, the cost per mile is about four times higher. (Drive about 30-40K miles and you'll buy three sets of Azenis for $1086 including $50/set shipping, or one set of SPT for $286 including shipping.)
