Default b-series bell housing question

i bought a gsr tranny off ebay and it was damaged during shipping, anyhow i currently have a LS tranny and are the bell housings the same could i just swap them?

First off thats not the bellhousing thats the tranny case. Secondly looks like both the tranny mount holes are f'ed and the small crack.... So you need at least the tranny case. But from the looks of the pix the bellhousing is fine.

p.s. by the way the bellhousing is the part of the tranny that the starter bolts up to, the part that attaches to the block....

thanks for clearing that up, but is the LS tranny case and bellhousing compatible with the GSR case and bellhousing...can i just swap them both and will it be cool?

edit: i have a bad LS tranny so if i could just swap the case and bellhousing thad be super..

You need to check the thrust clearance on the differential and mainshaft first before just bolting the casing halves together. If the thrust clearances are too loose, you could damage a bearing.
