Engine and Transmission Mount torque specs.
Can anyone tell me what the engine and tranny mount center bolts need to be torque to in my 1990 Acura Integra. I am replacing my mounts with poly mounts and need to know what the bolt needs to be torqued at that go threw the center of the mount. I know this may sound stupid but can someone plz help me with this, plz no bulshit specs. This is my second tranny and i am all done ripping the tranny apart, i am dumping a grand into this car this time and Im not taking any risks.
The engine mount bolts should be tightened "snug only."
The specific torques are:
Side mounts: 40 lb ft.
Front tranny mount: 47 lb ft.
Rear tranny mount: 43 lb ft.
Also, you might want to watch the rear mount for a while after you're done. Mine was a little loose and I had to tighten it beyond specs.
Finally there is also a proper sequence in tightening down the mounts :
Rear first, then front, right front, then left front.
Not sure if this applies in your case (since it's more for dropping an angine back in after removing it) but it's a good point of reference.
Hope this helps.
