91 Prelude reving high?
My cousin just bought a 91 Prelude in Philly. I am located in VA, so I havent seen the car as yet. She have described to me something that she thinks might be a problem/issue, but since I haven't driven now seen it as yet, I can not tell her if it is.
She says that she thinks that the car is reving high when driving on the freeway. She say when she is going about 60 MPH, the tach shows that its reving at about 4k RPM and it just climbs as she goes faster.
I want to know if this is the normal RPM for the prelude going at 60 MPH? I know my Accord revs about 3k RPM at about 60PMH.
Please tell me you guys expericnce with your car. Thanks.

EDIT: My accord actually revs 2000 going 60MPH in 5th.

Yours is REALLY that high? In my Accord, it reves about 2000 RPM going 60MPH in 5th.
I had theorized that she (my cousin learning to drive stick) must have been in 3rd gear, because my Accord revs at 4000 in 3rd going 60.
Can anyone else verify that the preludes rev high like this? or was she in 3rd?

Can someone just look on their tach when going 60 in 5th gear in your Prelude and tell me?
I really want to give her good advice. She is just learning to drive stick, and I want her to join the club of stick drivers. Thanks alot.
