Finally got a bike
I bought this bike monday afternoon and rode it home. I LOVE this thing. 1458 miles and not a scratch on her. She was laid down gently on grass - small cracked fairing, but the owner used bondo and painted the part ( i would have never guess it if he didn't point it out ).
For most of you that don't know me i started in August with a '95 GS500e and put close to 2000 miles on it. Thankfully i started on this bike as it is very forgiving and confidence building. I searched for months for a new bike (ebay, friends, craigslist, etc) and finally found this beautiful, amazing machine. After having ridden a couple of friends' RR's i came to the conclusion that i wanted this bike.
2003 Pearl Yellow Honda CBR 600RR

This bike has on it right now a yellow/chrome windshield and is lowered 1". The puchase came with a Brand New Dunlop rear tire (the one on the bike is plugged), original windshield, original Dogbone (rear ride height), tank bag, and a bunch of tools/screws/etc. The seller was very honest about things and was very sad to see the bike go. I assured him that i will take great care of this bike. First thing first - buying a disc lock, changing the oil, flushing the coolant, and getting the rear tire replaced before it warms up again.
See you guys out there

i still have the teg, i'm driving that if the weather is cold/inclement
This bike won't see the rain - i'll try to keep it that way.

plugged tires on a high performance bike = bad</TD></TR></TABLE>
i'm seeing when i can bring it by a local shop to get it done as a matter of fact, didnt know it was quite that bad though. Wasn't really planning on stunting or racing or really pushing it for a while. Thanks for the heads-up.

So bad in fact, that most of the cycle shops around here wont even do it on sport bikes.

You should... as a beginner the last thing you need is hidden ice and tires that don't warm up to optimal grip.

haha, i think he was kidding
i've been riding around lately, but i'm giving the bike to FFx cycles for some service - getting the new tire on there and replacing that dogbone with the oem one so it rides nice and normal.
RJ would know about hidden ice right
i'm hoping the weather warms up and the spring rains come to wash off all the crap on the roads.
