Default UK prelude ECU swap out for JDM prelude ECU? P13

I would like to know if I can swap out my UK ECU for a JDM ECU. We have 99 octane fuel here so I wouldnt of thought it would be all that different. Both ECU's are for a manual spec car.
I guess the battery should be disconnected prior to me doing this and the engine started for 5 mins without touching the gas once the new ECU is in place?

whatever. Do what you want - it won't hurt anything. you don't even have to disconnect the battery - well, I would to reset the computer but you don't have to.

i will be very surprised if it makes that much of a difference unless the UK setup is very detuned.

My UK engine is 200hp the Jap spec is 220hp from what i've read. Theres probably other things they've done to up the bhp but the ECU should help I would of thought
