until i'm IN the car or get a CLEAR video showing MPH

That's not bad, though they could have been going a bit down hill or had a tail wind.
I saw somewhere that the Si si good for something like 130, in 5th (because apparently it can't do it in that long 6th gear).

Which is why I'm seriously looking into the I/H/E or a turbo for it.

 

I cant see the video here at work, what is the speed they are claiming in this video?

 

it could be possiable i have had mine doing 120 and that was just shifting into 5

thanks, I have seen a vid of the 05 DC5 Type-S doing about 155mph (idiotic IMO) but i guess that doesnt mean much as the 6th gear is a bit different. I will watch the video tonight before i comment more.

 

according to the gti v. si v. mini cooper s article in road and track the si's top speed is electronically limited to 129 and will reach it in 5th gear

 

Who cares. If it puts it in to perspective at all I reached 140 in my auto LS. It took a LONG time and a LONG highway stretch but that was my top speed.

Top speed is 147. Thats what is electronically controlled too. That dudes VID is on the autobahn its legit.

I saw a vid on TOV or fgcoupe.com or one of the new si websites that had the car on a dyno doing a top speed run and hitting 157 mph before getting cut off

Anyways, back on topic - if the speed governor were eliminated, and if the car had enough power to pull itself, does anyone know what the top speed of this thing would be in 6th gear?
