Default A couple of concerns with the R

ok for the last 2 days my car has been acting a little weird, my main concern is my VTEC. usually when i hit the crossover it bangs pretty hard, it snaps, it's crisp... but recently (last 2 days) it kind of feels mushy when i hit the crossover, almost like it's flooding, boggy feeling. i haven't had too much time to check it out but i have checked my oil, oil level is fine and i haven't changed any settings to my fuel, timing, ignition or anything else in the last 4 months, no new parts, nothing. after i hit the crossover it seems like it climbs like it should.

my first though was a bad plug or something, but that'd make it feel "not right" in all RPM ranges.

the other thing, which could have something to do with this, not sure, is my temp. guage. after being fully warmed up and the needle is in it's rightful position, it'll read that it's getting cooler. when it gets cooler is usually when i'm driving over 55-60 MPH. it's never done that before up untill 2 days ago, it's always gotten to it's mark and held there. a little diagram for you below to be a little more specific...

Normal in bold red

Where is goes down to sometime (after it's been fully warmed up) in bold red

note: temp. guage will go back up if i'm stopped and hold it's normal spot untill i get up to the speed mentioned above

thanks ahead of time guys

your t-stat is stuck open or your fan is on all the time?

a temp that low might not allow vtec to kick in

fan isn't always on, and i haven't checked the t-stat yet but it's only about 6 months old (OEM)

and i'm talking about the VTEC when the temp. guage is telling me it's in it's normal spot fully warmed up

Marc i'm gonna give you a call tomarrow bud

sound like symptoms from the T-stat... I guess.

Mentioned that to him earlier, but it does not seem to be the culprit.

I have this same problem, :\

Seems to happen when I'm coming down the large hills, is this normal, for the temp gauge to drop so far when the engine is doing little work, and travelling at 100 km/hr?
