So if your boostin 15 pounds at 6500 RPM and suddenly your guage goes red its just gonna be a light show? Nothing to worry about right?

If he is boosting 15pounds at 6500rpm and he goes to 13.5:1 a:f for some reason its not going to show ****.

If you are so lean on that much boost that you go red on a narrowband, then say goodbye.

"thiz"? "headerz"?

Chunk that A/F guage and get an exhaust gas temp. guage. That will tell you more about your air/fuel ratio than that A/F toy will.

If you're boosting, I think exhaust gas temp. would be pretty important anyway.

if ur boosting at 15psi and something goes wrong u'll know. narrowband has inaccurate readings

the a/f gauge is useless, but I would hardly think of a boost gauge as "useless"

So your telling me honda made a sensor just so it can throw out inaccurate reading? If it goes lean in those circumstances he can shut the car off and have a chance to save the motor....

the OEM narrowband sensor is enough to trigger a CEL, but the voltage/resistance range of variance is not really enough to give an accurate reading on those A/F guages. You really need a wideband sensor to make the guages worth anything.

i dont think he was refering to the boost gauge when he said useless, but that A/F thing is completely useless

four1 don't be ignorant.. the air/fuel gauge IS a light show...

Get a wideband if you want to see your air/fuel.

i'll have to agree about the light show, if on a stock ecu, it just goes back and forth constantly, if on crome with 02 disabled, it can give an idea,

either fuel, or in the red no fuel

best bet is a AEM UEGO guage with wideband, EASILY found on ebay for $250 shipped (killer deal)

i have a wideband display and a oil pressure guage (electronic with sending unit under hood)

all motor car
