Default Transmission Question

I have a 94 VX and the clutch is going out on it. The transmission also has some grinds when going into reverse so I’m thinking about putting another transmission in with better gearing (assuming such a transmission exist) while it’s dropped.

So my question is what transmission will work with my stock engine? I know it has a P20/A000 in it and I’m pretty sure that I have to use a none Vtech transmission in it so is my only other option a P20/A000 out of a DX/LX? Will it fit with the stock sifter linkage I have or do I need the linkage out of the DX/LX?

Will I have any noticeable difference in the feel of the way it drives or should I just shut up and put a clutch in the car. It’s just my commute car for work anyway...

any 92-95 civic tranny will bolt up, but you have to get a clutch disc to match the shaft splines
