Default fuel rail

I hear that the AEM rail has a 20% increase in fuel over stock. But, what is stock? GSR? LS? RS? ITR? People tell me that the stock ITR injectors are great, but I haven't heard anything about the rail...whats up? Is it a good buy for the ITR?

peace and respect,
b

ps. searched, but nothing....sorry if it's been posted in the past.

I can't imagine the fuel rail having any effect for those cars not pushing 500HP!

the injectors all flow the same rate anyways, gsr, itr, etc. they're all rated at 245cc. the fuel rails i hear accomodate up to around 200 whp. i'd say upgrading (unless as other members mentioned) is just for looks?

I'd like to run the AEM Fuel Rail, FPR, and B&M fuel pressure gage. It just a very clean nice looking package, that will not only help the performance (slighly from the FPR) but it looks daym good too!

245cc ... thats good to know. thanks. and its no show, all go.

pardon thy ignorance; but, why would the rail only make a difference if the hp was up past 200? Is it the "sucktion" that 200 hp makes to utilize the "straw" of the rail. hehe, sorry about these lame terms, but i'm really trying to understand the theory of making hp, instead of which products make what. thanks again.

peace and respect,
b

obviously. that answer was to a question i did not ask. let me ask again...why whould the HP effect how much fuel is being pulled in? Isn't it logical to think that the more fuel being "dumped" into the engine would create more combustion, therfore creating more hp? Or is it that you need a certain amount of combustion to pull in the amount of fuel that a bigger fuel rail can accomadate?

i hope this is understandable. i'm not an english major.

ok, maybe because no one can understand WTF you question is, thats why we cant answer it..... Let me try again, HP effects how much fuel is being pulled in because it takes fuel to make HP.....but that theiory of more fuel = more HP only works up to a certain medium and then you lose power because of too much fuel....hope that helps

going from small amounts of fuel to bitchloads, you may gain a few hp in the begining and drop hp in the middle then shoot back up after you give the engine more air...i get it...compression plays a major roll in this too, i see.

sorry about the misscomunication dude. we are not on the same page. just trying to understand the back end. i love the sport and want to understand the enitre picture, not just buy things cause they made a gain on someone elses setup.

peace and respect,
b
