GT4082R ? and TR30R Turbos .
Hi all , a bit confused about a thread here that mentioned this GT4082R . All I can find at turbobygarrett is a bush bearing GT4082 . Is the BB version a reality ?
There is a bit of talk about the "TR30R" which apparently an expensive Garrett competition turbo . It has been used for WRC rally and Le Mans plus maybe CART . I did read somewhere that the production version is the GT3071R .
I am interested to know if it uses the 60mm version of the NS111 turbine because this item is almost impossible to find any information on . It has been said that the GT30 turbine was a diesel development with its extra blade (10 vs 9 for NS111) and its large 84 trim . I believe dedicated competition turbos are about withstanding extreme heat and revs and being as lighweight as possible . I'd say the 60mm NS111 could suit many others as well along with the higher speed five bladed compressors . Any info appreciated .
Thanks Adrian .
