Went to get a new inspection sticker today (2000 ITR)-and my window tint did not pass inspection = failed inspection.

I specifically bought the 35% (or was it 30%) tint that I knew was legal. 35% is the minimum.

Readout was 29.4% side windows and like 12% on the hatch. WTF!!!

Dude at the shop said it was likely due to the fact that the windows already had a slight "tint" from the factory, which explains the 29.4% on the sides. But why only 12% on the hatch? Its the same damn tint all around! (it seemed rather dark in the shop...could this influence the readout?)

Anyways, need the stupid inspection sticker I guess... Any ideas on how to get around it without removing the tint? $ didnt work ;(
