Simple Radio Mounting Question..
Recent picked up a 91 hatch, and I was going to swap a CD player into it tonight..
I have all the wiring figured out, I just can't remember how the radio mounts into the dash. (its been about 3 years since my last EF..)
Just wondering if I need to stop at the store on the way for a mount kit? Or does the metal sleeve somehow lock in place into the dash and then slide in the radio?(searching seemed like that was the way to di it, but not really clear..)
thanks,
Haggar

the cage (sleeve) is vendor specific.
it comes with the radio. if you don't have one youll have to take a trip to a local stereo shop, but keep in mind youll have to hope they have extra, since they arent sold seperatley unless you order from the manufacturer.
once you have the cage, slide it in first, bend down the tabs, then the radio slides into it and clicks.
you dont need any aftermarket dash kit since EF's are single DIN openings, and any radio mounts perfectly to the factory opening.
you're done
