When you guys clean your K&N filters are they still a little black afterward?
I was reading over old topics that I searched and a few of them mentioned that blackened filter media was the norm after cleaning K&N filters...However, some other threads mentioned that K&N filter media becomes somewhat whitened after they are cleaned with the K&N recharger kit and then go back to their original light-reddish color when they are re-oiled.
What has been your experience when cleaning K&N filters in the past?
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

your filter is either old or very dirty, when you clean it with cleaning bottle that the k&n filter recharge kit include with the re-oil spray, it should be white not black. So I suggest you clean it again or buy a new one. Best of lucks to you
