JDM DC5 PRC type r ecu speed governor removal???

Ok I keep hearing the JDM K20A type r ecu has a speed govenor of 115mph. Is there a gimmic or device to get rid of this or do I have to send the ecu in to hondata to get it removed???

yea it sucks, I have a K20a swap in my EK and it tops out at right about 118mph. K-pro will eliminate that though

An HKS SLD or Apex'i RSM will also remove the speed limiter.
