Default How long does it take to change the water pump on a h22 prelude?

well, my water pump took a **** on me sunday night. so me and my mechanic buddy are gonna replace it and while everything is apart i'm gonna replace the timing belt, t-belt tensioner, idler valve pulley, valve cover gasket etc. soo, i wanna know how long does it usually take to replace the water pump since we gotta do this outside cuz 4 of his garages are full and i aint got one. for the tools, he's got **** load of them, engine hoist, racing jacks, jack stands all kinds of bullshit. he's into chevys n **** so he really doesn't know how long will this take and neither do i , so help me out, if it's in the wrong forum , plz move it, thanks

took me about 2 days worth of work. just make sure you know how to set the timing and everything when you put the new timing belt on. you should also replace the balance shaft seals, cam seals, and crank seal. the hardest part will be breaking loose the crank pulley bolt and resetting all the timing stuff, and once you get those the rest is pretty simple. good luck, and have fun.

TSB=tech service bulletin, the balance shaft seal will work itself out of the bore causing a huge oil leak=grenade engine.

a $20 chiltons manual will have everything you need for w-pump,t-belt, b-belt removal/install ect.
