oil pan gasket leak. do i need to remove the header?
has anyone changed the oil pan gasket on a b16a in an ef? i've got to pretty soon and i was just wondering if the pan would clear the stock header if i slide it out, instead of just droping it. does this make since? one side of the oil pan is larger than the other and the clearence is close, but i dont want to remove the header if i dont have to. those bolts can be a bitch sometimes. thanks for any help.

yeah you just need to take the downpipe off. It's the easiest way. whats an extra 5 min of work? lol yeah it can be a bitch sometimes, but it does make it alot easier. I just did this twice in the past month on two integras and its the easiest way. Cause your going to want to clean the surface on the block real nice and whatnot.

You can use anything that will degrease the surface. Use a razor blade to take off the old gasket material/rtv silicone that may be left over. Then, use some Brake cleaner or acetone to degrease the pan mounting surface and the block
