help I just hit a curb!!!!!!!!
well guys!!! its offical!!! my car is in the shop getting fixed! and it will only cost me about 400 dollars or under! I took the lude to 4 shops, had an estimation at the 4 shops and all but one shop said all the same thing. The shop that said it would cost 400+4-500 labor was trying to rip me off.
The other 3 said the same thing, only the cradle was bent, the shop thats fixing my car had me look at it and he explained everything step by step, all my suspension is FINE only the cradle is bent and shoved to the left. that is why the wheel looks like that. But I do indeed need a whole rear suspension, or if anyone here is selling a cradle I'll buy it from them.
It should take only about one week to get everything fixed. waiting on just the parts, from a local junkyard
all for under 500 bucks!

yeah. Most likely, your wheel bearing just got f'ed up. Along with whatever is wrong.
Take off the wheel - first see if its bent. If not:
Inspect the suspension components. Make sure your spindle is straight and everything.
Hey, before you take off the wheel, see if it moves up and down or left to right. If it moves in and out - the wheel bearing is messed up.
Hey. How the expletive did you hit a curb anyway? If the wheel looks like /-----|
Speedin are we?

Is your rotor and everything straight? Maybe the "/" is an exaggeration?.............
You mean the caliper is tilted like / this?.............
pull all of that off and inspect everything to make sure its straight. It could be the braket that holds the brake pads on. But that wouldn't affect your wheel. If your wheel is bent like that - something is definately wrong. Can you take pictures at all?

Wheel hub could be bent. Tkae off the middle cab and see how far the nut is. You could have bent the wheel hub - which would be hard to do.
Tkae out the two retaining screws off the rotor and pull it off the hub. Might have to use a hammer to beat it off kinda - use a mallet.

awww ****, i cant do this right now... its fucken late and windy and fucken cold! damn.... so is that the problem? the wheel hub is bent? is this hard to do? can i just use a mallet to bash the rotor back into place?

this is what a shop told me that's what they do,try cutting a template of the diameter rim slid it up and down see if it touches.

NO! You cannot use a hammer to bash the hub back in place. You NEED to buy a new one. And while you're at it - get a new rotor and brake pads. Its nothing you can hammer back in place. Seriously. The bearing is probably messed up also - and you'll start to hear a LOUD clunking sound in a few days.
**** i dont have much money and time, Im still in school and I work also and plus a girlfriend... can i just try to hammer slowly the rotor into place? do you think that the shop can do it? i really dont want to replace anything...
Man what the expletive are you talking about?
There are no short cuts. And any REAL technician isn't going to tell you to hammer it back. When you bend metal, then bend it back - guess what! It develops a very weak spot, if it doesn't break already.
Hammer it if you want - but if you make a sharp turn, and it breaks - don't get mad at us. It doesn't take a lot of time to pull off the hub. Its just one nut. Then it pulls off. Thats it.

Theres no easy way out. You said its bent. If you don't believe any of us, get a hammer and go to work. We have no reason to lie or mislead you. If $ it tight go to a junk yard or search online for used parts. You should be able to file this with your insurance. Just pay the deductible.
Dude if you wheel is bent in you have some SERIOUS problems. It won't be an easy thing to fix, and you probaly bent something. I had a similar experience with my front driver side tire. I hit a curb and the front tire was bent in. I needed a whole new suspension setup for the front driverside tire costing around 450 or so to fix and get it aligned. Woulda cost more if I didn't find someone parting our their lude. So no an alignment alone will not fix that and they probaly won't even be able to align it. Sorry man, be ready to shell out some bucks, you going to have to take it to shop.
yeah... if i were cheap as hell like you, i'd use the laws of physics. Equal and opposite reactions undo stupid actions like hitting curbs. So you need to aim for that same curb, but hit it this time twice as fast and at the opposite part of the wheel. this should put everything back where it should be. good luck man.
sorry guys, im just kinda pissed thats all, i really aprecatie all your guys help a lot... so there is no easy way out? im gonna have to take it to the the shop huh? ok well yes the rotor is just bent is there like a arm bar or something i can replace it with?
