Default Autopower Rollbar: ERW / DOM

Forgive my ignorance, but what's the difference. The ERW is selling for $315, the DOM is $395, at http://www.pegasusautoracing.com.

The DOM is stronger, and smaller in diameter if I recall correctly...

Jason-
who is a former AP "DOM" 6-point owner...

The Bars are as thick or as thin as you order them. DOM is stronger, so you can order a smaller diameter bar that will meet the same regulations as a larger ERW bar. For example... If SCCA required a 3" ERW bar for a 3000 lb car, then they may only require a 2.5" bar if it's of DOM construction. Understand? You order the bar to be whatever diameter you need and whatever material you want it to be. Check your sanctioning body's rulebook to determine what diameter you need based on the weight of your car, and the type of bar(ERW or DOM).

Why did you reply with that to me? I forgot that you know it all and everything, Sorry.

-Dave, who was simply commenting that Kirk's DOM bar is as big as AP's ERW bar.
