Default Water Dripping from under dash!

I own a '91 Teg. Several months ago my heater fan blower motor resistor shorted out and the mechanic descovered that the area that houses the fan was filled with water. Now there is water dripping onto the floor from under the passenger-side dash again and I'm sure that the resistor will short out again. The mechanic felt I should take it to a body shop to see if it could be a backed up drain. Anybody have this similar experience? I know any trip to the body shop can be really expensive so I would at least have an idea of what it could be going in. Thanks guys!

You didn't say, but do you have a 2nd gen Integra?

If so, there is an article on how to fix the leakiy passenger floor on http://www.g2ic.com

My '92 had the leak, but I sold it before I ever got around to attempting the fix on G2IC.

That would be the best place for you to look right now.

G2IC is awesome.

Sounds like it may be the heater core. Is it just water or does it have a semi sweet smell to it? If sweet, definitely the heater core. You have 2 options, replace (pull dash, royal PITA) or bypass if your in an area where you won't need the heater.

Thanks for all your advice guys. There doesn't seem to be any smell in the water and it is dripping from the bottom of the blower motor (the black part).

Is it coming from where the squirrel cage fan/motor is, like right behind the glovebox? If so, remove the plastic cowl trim from the base of the windshield and check to see if water is getting down there, because that's right where the fresh air intake is. You can see the blower fan from above in this pic (disregard arrow):

Yes! That is where it is coming from, and it's dripping onto the carpet in front of the passenger seat. There was a big rain storm last night and I think that has something to do with the leak. The guy at the body shop said it might be a blockage in the sunroof duct, but I wasn't sure. I will see if I can remove the cowl and check it out. Could it be a seal near the cowl?
