Default 170 or 180 degree thermostat?

I need a new thermostat, and I dont really know which one is the OE thermostat. Does it even matter if i choose one of the two? I have a stock 92 LS.......thanks

94 + gsr's have 170 degree thermostats. It really doesnt matter that much. If you want an unnoticeable amount of more power, then get the 170 because that will lower the air temp in intake manifold just that much more. Its unnoticeable difference.
