I gotta 88 crx dx with d15 i/h/e and now its white smoking a lil bit
i dont have a cat converter but never seemed to be a problem before
if i take my engine to about 5 or 6 grand it will white smoke then i have to let
it idle to stop.Is this ablown head gasket or do i really need a cat converter?
or is there a special type or oil that i need to run?Im using Q at the moment.

 

i know i prolly ask dumb quistions and alot of them but im trying to learn about my car so i dont have to take it to a mechanic that charges $60 an hour

When it smokes, does it smell like anti-freeze?

 

im not sure what that would smell like?? but it has a problem keeping water in it i always have to put water in it. its leaking from the cap has a lil hole under that.One time i was in the middle of no where and i ran out of water so i grabed some gatorade and put that in there untill i got home. did i expletive it up.

 

Sounds like you've either got a blown headgasket or a cracked head. I would not drive it till you inspect & fix it

 

lol with all that poor engine has been thru I would say time for a swap.

 

Yeah i know i keep posting that im about to swap it but i cant make up my mind.If i want to go through all the custom work and money for a b18 or a dohc zc.My cuz has the motor but i know i need alot of other ****! with the zc all i need is a motor and ecu. i dunno ......... i suk, i just got married so money is a lil hard to come by gotta baby due on may 8th.but maybe it will work out i just need to try a lil harder on looking around for the parts that i need i guess im just lazy .

If anyone has a zc motor or b18 swap parts pleazzze let meh know.
