Default EP Si Owners, I need a huge favor

Hey Guys Need a huge favor... If you have the time could maybe 2 or 3 of you take some measurements of your driverside air bag? It would be a great help! I need these measurements mainly any other data you could provide would be helpful also.

Thanks again

Anyone???

Well if you guys would like to know why. I already re-badged the outside of my TSX and now I'm trying to find a way to get rid of the Acura "A" on the steering wheel and so far the JDM wheel and air bag is the only option. But with that conversion I will lose my steering wheel radio/cruise controls, not to mention operation of the air bag since the JDM model is a single stage and the USDM has a 2-stage operation.

And if any RSX peeps read I belive the RSX and civic air bags are the same... So if you guys could get some measurements also it would be great!

Just from looking at it I am pretty sure it won't fit. They are different shapes and will look really weird even if it does fit and probably won't look that great. I would get a H sticker which some people do make and just stick it over the "A" or I would go ahead get the JDM airbag. But you will have the 1 stage airbag, so you are going to have to ask yourself if it's really worth it.
Have you looked into buying an airbag from Australia or Europe? Are they also 1 stage airbags?

Can't you just pop off the Acura badge and pop on the honda one?

Yeah I saw colts wheel... But he also has no air bag, radio/cruise controls... This is what I'm trying to avoid. I'm going to check into the AUS market accord airbag... But Thanks

C = 7"
B = 8"
A = 4.5"

Hope that helps. I didn't round off either, according to your lines those are the exact measurements I got.

Thanks MidNit! Just as I thought the measurements are the same!!!! May be onto something here!!! Now I just have to hunt one down and do a test fit. Do you guys know what these sell for?

BTW Thanks for all the input... Very, Very Helpful! I have never visited this forum so I wasn't sure what kind of reaction I would get... Not sure if anyone else noticed but it seems like each forum on H-T has it's not personality

Anyway thanks guys... I'll come back and update once I find one and get it fitted(excitement is setting in!)

i have a ep3 bag in my car. its not for sale, but if you wanan come over we can see if it fits your car. then you know for sure before you blow some money. im in santa ana.

and good luck finding one, it took me months of searching

edit: or better yet, find any dc5 or ep3 closer to you that is wliling to offer the same service.... no need for you to drive all the way out here. both bags are the same size and are interchangeable
