The seats in my 4th gen prelude are wearing down. Rather than paying a lot to replace the leather, I was considering just finding a used (but newer) set in decent shape. Can anyone tell me whether the seats in the 97-01 preludes can replace my '94 prelude seats? Would I need the rails for the newer seats? And if so, would they just bolt in where the existing rails are? (I haven't replaced seats before, so I apologize if any of these are moronic questions)

Also, does anyone have any comfort comments on the newer prelude seats vs. 4th gen? I find my 4th gen seats a little narrow (though I'm by no means wide), but they are certainly gripping -- and on the whole they are comfortable.

I've seen 4th gen seats in a 5th gen, so I don't see why 5th gen seats wouldn't work in a 4th gen.

Thanks -- I did search, but didn't see this exact topic (saw questions about RSX seats in a 4th gen). I'll try a few more searches.

 

I find my 5th gen seats to be comfortable, but not all that gripping. I personally prefer the 4th gen seats.

 

I am pretty sure they would fit maybe a few modifications but it'll work. If so go with leather i have tan leather in my 98 sh and it one comfortable ride.

 

I have started a thread like this before I think...Someone told me that they wouldnt fit because of a height difference...But I could be wrong...Let me see if I can find the link to the thread that this was discussed in.
