Default Energy Suspension bushings - opinions

Gday guys

i searched but i only got old for sale posts

i have the ability to buy bushings for my dc2r for a reasonable price
but im a little unsure about the concept surrounding putting them in
with the exisiting OEM mounts? How does this work?

I read in an old post they are a real bitch to put in, how so? what is
the method for installation? what are the pros and cons? is it worth
the 50 bucks US?

any ideas/ opinions, anyone who has used them before?

at the moment theres a bit if slack and lash in the driveline when
i make slight throttle openings, and when the car is slwoing down and i
dont get the clutch in on time... im thinking maybe the mounts
are getting a bit worn... wondering if maybe this will help

any ideas fellas?

thanks

Kalen

thanks for your reply neo

whats involved in putting these inserts in? do you have to take the mounts themselves out? or do you work on them whilst they are on the car?

It's not a walk through (I can't find one) but it might give you some idea.

You might want to check prothane and energy suspensions websites.

I have them in my car, the only part that was a pain was the rear mount the other 2 are easy to install. You'll get abit of a vibration at idle but nothing crazy. Also gets rid of alot of wheel hop.

IMO they are worth it for $35 bucks.

thanks for your help everyone

ill weigh it all up, might be better of just waiting a bit longer until the mount really let go completely then buy brand new mounts all round
