B16 Tanny????
I picked up a tranny from a freind and he claims it to be a B16. Only problem is there is no ID sticker on it. Is there any other way to tell it apart? Im going to pull apart the case anyway and check it out. Can I count the teeth and find out that way? What should I look for...
put it in 5th gear and it should be 3.75 turns of the input shaft for 1 turn of the diff. 3.5 is a GSR tranny and 3.25 is a LS tranny. Its a little difficult to get it perfect, but if need be roll it around 2 turns of the diff and its easier to tell.
I got a bunch od gear ratios off the net. Im just gonna count the teeth on it to make sure. Im going to pull it aprt any way to see if its in sound condition. Also what kind of improvement would I see with a B16 trans over an LS?? noticable or not really.
