Default Is the skunk2 IM really that bad ????????????

Is the skunk2 intake manifold really that bad. I have been reading up on it for a while now. I like to play right between 3000 - 5500 rpm just about when vtec chimes in. My set up right now consists of dc sport headers, aem cold air, and stock exhaust. Just purchased skunk2 IM, skunk2 70mm throttle, and now am looking into stage 1 cams either crower or skunk2.
I do daily drive my car; I am just looking for where my power band will be. If anyone has dyno plots that would be awesome also. Please any insight would be grateful.
Alex

P.S I drive a 00 lude

its not that bad of a mani, just be aware your going to loose a considerable amount of torque below 4k. mine really comes on at 4,500. if i had to do it over i would definatly get the euro r.

on your application, it'll suck *****.

Stock exhaust? DC header? stage 1 cams?..........hehehe. 70mm TB!!!!!!!!???? Please do something else to your car before you put that manifold on. Trust me, you'll be mad at the world.

You don't deserve a weather report.

Virginia, north dakota, illinois, mississippi, canada, or north carolina? i'm assuming north carolina..............

You're looking at a high of 66 degrees partly cloudgy. wind speeds will be around 20mph - tonight, the low will be 40 degrees with a 0% chance of rain. Low winds. Clear sky also. Tomorrow - 0% chance of rain. High 62 degrees decent breeze. Sunny outside. Looking good.

how many places are you going to post this? Knowing that everyone has said it sucked in every thread. Your not going to get many good responses about it. If someone talks good about it, they are in denial.

i have not had an issue with teh skunk2 manifold, and have run both it and the euro-r manifold on my car both for longer than 6 months. the euro-r has a broader power curve though, and a hell of a lot more power under 3k rpm.

Get an exhaust system and do some headwork before you worry about that IM. Ive heard nothing good of the skunk2 mani except ludes that are boosting or very highly modded.

i second this. you need the upgraded valvetrian, higher compression, ecu managment, and portmatching tb and head work before you reap the benefits of a larger IM.

I have a fully built all motor H22.
Block was built and sleeved by GE with 11.5:1 Je pistons, eagle rods.
The head was ported polished and built by Portflow with dual valve springs, titanium retainers, and REV valves. It also has Skunk 2 stage 2 cams. with manual timing belt conversion.
Hondata s300, 255lph fuel pump, RC injectors, STR fuel rail, Stock im which is killing me badly and DC header to 2.5" exhaust.

Do you think the skunk 2 im will be good for this application?

each app can vary. only way to see is if you try. all motor it should do some good but like a said each app can vary. your motor isn't stroked or bored so it will more than likely increase your numbers a little with the right tuning.
