Default 91 Accord question

On the RPM guage there is a "Maintenance Required" Color Coded light. What is this for?

If the color changes what need fixed/replaced?

Thanks.

It's no more than a mechanical counter set to display in 7500mile intervals. The intended use is it's to be reset at the time of scheduled maintaince (goes dark) and reappears to signal the time for the next scheduled event.
It can be easily reset by the insertion of the appropriate probe (ignition key on a 5th gen) into a slot or hole in close proximity to that little display.

Hope this clears it up for you
