yeah, I don't think the car on or off would change the outcome at all. After I swapped my B16 into my car with my ACT clutch(xtreme pressure plate) my flex line busted and started leaking. After that...no leaks, just wore out the slave cylinder like 3 or 4 times. Good luck

well i just replaced the master cylinder and slave. and why i asked bout the car on and bleeding it is because we rebuilt a old toyota head this weekend and when put everything back togethor the clutch had lost all pressure well somehow the master cylinder took a **** on us. so we got a new one and bled it for ever and nothing would work. well someone said bleed it with the truck on. so we did and it worked. we bled for hours with the truck off and it wouldnt ever make any pressure. but we bleed it with the truck on for 10 mins and it builds pressure???

you might be leaking in the slave cyclinder and it could be going in to the tranny so you would not see it (can you see where it is comeing from or going)
