Default how hard to fix? bodywork questions

on my passenger side door, between the top of the door and the car there is like a 1/2" gap. but everything else is lined up. the door molding lines up with the quartr
panel and fender molding and the door closes fine. can it be adjusted or is something bent somewhere?

and my hatch is out of alignment. it sticks up above the quarter panel like 1/4".
i took the shims out of the hatch latch and that helped some but its still out of line a good bit

do these two sound fixable or is something just really screwed up/bent somewhere?

also i am getting surface rust near the taillight on the driver side, hatch jamb, and under the car behind the sideskirt on the driver side, where that thin strip is that you can use to jack the car up

i will try to get pics tomorrow but how hard/expensive should it be to fix this? it would need to be sanded down and prepped with some kind of rust protector and primered

the door alignment sounds like the top of your door got bent a lil bit. nothin major that can be bent back in your hatch is adjustable and pannel alignment can be a lil tricky. try to look and see if the rear end has been painted before.. that could tell you if it has been in a wreck before. but i htink your hatch is fine and just needs some adjustment.

the rust repair is like anytoher rust repair. but make sure its not a hole yet. take a wire wheel or a 24 grit wheel and grind that area down to see how deep the rust is... if its a hole PATCH IT dont puddy it. if it isnt though yet then just grind it down till the pitts are gone and use some filler to make it smooth again.
