Default Will a bad IACV cause performance losses?

I just want to know if a non working IACV will have any negative effects on performance. I know it helps control the Air fuel mixture at idle, but what about driving?

will not cause any performance problems, but will affect idle and drivability

the only adverse effect that i get is bad idle when the car hasnt been undriven for more than 6 hours. What drivability problems do you forsee with a nonfunctional IACV
