Default car won't start after swap

Hey, just put another h22a into my lude since the last one is done, and this one won't start up either. I have brand new wires, plugs, ditributor assembly, and everything else checked out fine....but the thing that puzzles me is when I turn the key to the on position, instead of hearing the humming sound from the fuel pump behind me, I hear a constant non stop "buzzing" sound coming from the firewall or behind the dash. I hear it more from inside the car than outside. So I think that buzz is keeping the fuel pump to work and not causing the car to turm over and start.

I was told that something is not grounded or not grounded properly thus causing the buzzing sound and not starting. I've looked for any loose ground wires but they all seem to be connected, so I'm assuming one or more is not grounded properly, I had a bit of a hard time finding where the ground wire for the negative battery terminal went so I searched here and found out it was supposed to go under the starter on the block... which I'm pretty sure is connected on the right place (mind you i had this problem when connecting all the wires, not when I was looking for more or loose grounds). The picture I was looking from was kind of different from where mine is connected.

All the other ground wires were connected by a friend that helped me, he was the mastermind of the whole swap so I'm pretty sure he knows what he's doing. He's pretty busy these days so he has no time to look at the car anymore which is why I'm on here.

So I was wondering if someone could list what wires need to be grounded and where they should connect. Just so I know what to look for, in case I did miss any or connected improperly.

Is there a ground wire close to the firewall or anything related to the fuel pump? Or would anyone here be able to identify the buzzing I'm talking about?

I was also told it might be the relay, I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and sicne it's cold and the car's been sitting in the garage for a few months it could be the problem. Would the relay cause a buzzing sound and cause the fuel pump to run?

Right now I'm up to any suggestions because I'm in such a dead end and have nowhere else to turn to.

about the negative batery terminal , from what i can remeber mine is grounded to my frame (radiator support), i don't think there is any ground wires for your fuel pump around the firewall since your fuel pump is under the back seat, check and see if you have all the vaccum hoses on, check your fuel filter, find ground wires diagram, i think the relay that you're talking about is called the main relay , migh wanna check that, i hope this helps man, somebody correct me if i'm wrong somewhere, good luck bro

Dude you forgot to hook up the ground wire that connects to the intake manifold just under the thermostat.

Ive done it before you turn the key no fuel pump hum and just the buzzing noise.

It's a 10mm bolt that connects that ground to the Tstat neck but really you could ground it any where on the intake manifold

hello there. Sorry for bringing this thread back from the dead. I am doing a gsr swap and so far I have a similar problem. My fuel system primes and all but i hear buzzing at the starter. I also grounded the motor at 3 points: radiator>valve cover, transmission housing>chassis under, and thermostat ground for the ECU. is there one that goes from the intake manifold to the chassis as well? because I can't find it.

i have a 93 prelude si v-tech, i just bought it and it came with a f22a1 block and a h22a1 head with a t3t4 turbo. my problem is im not getting no spark and my coil is hot at all times but the motor still turns over. i think it might have somthing to do with my knock sensor. if that sensor is just hangging there will that effect my spark? also i was told that year car and modle came stock with en external coil. mine was converted to a interenal. maybe that aslo my have something to do with it?? PLEASE HELP ME!!
