Ok dumb question
Ok, so I put an AEM short ram intake on my 2000 gsr, now the sound is obviously drastically different. Wouldve gone cold air but it pisses rain here about 10 months a year.
Now this is my first VTEC car, the sound generated by the intake is quite a bit more noticeable than other vehicles i've installed these on.
Specifically it gets hella loud and quite sharply past 6000 rpm. Is that VTEC kicking in?
Sorry I'm a dumb noob, and thanks for the input.

wiht my experiance and a short ram on my car will make the secondaries loud as hell and a cold air will make my vtec reallly loud. but i can only hear one or the other its really hard to hear them both kick in with the same intake

The correct word is a bypass valve, it goes on your intake. I had mine setup at the throttle body which connected my CAI. I am sure you can make one, but they are like $40 brand new.
