Everytime I go into reverse, letting the clutch out and letting off the gas, my car boggs and moves extremely slow. I have changed my plugs, wires, rotor, dist cap and it has helped very slightly but it still boggs like crazy. This problem started right after I hit redline and I hit fuel cutoff. Since then it has been bogging in reverse and in first gear as well in the lower revs. It still pulls at wot but I feel a slight decrease in performance. When I checked the oil level after the fuel cutoff incident it was almost out of oil from first neglecting to top it off so maybe the low oil pressure affected the auto tensioner? I have been searching for so long...need answers

 

Is your tach bouncing up and down at all?

 

no... this is tricky, I know the h22 auto tensioners are weak and my car is making a rattling sound below 1500 rpm, so maybe a weak autotensioner is throwing something off? btw my car has 54000 miles w/ autotensioner

 

any help guys?

 

oil level shouldn't affect the autotensioner
