Default Rusted Exhaust and prevention help

1994 Accord EX
So, there was a quarter sized hole in my flex pipe/resonator and I got it replaced. The muffler has two small holes in it but I held off on replacing it at the shop. I would like to purchase an OEM replacement for the muffler, the only remaining piece that has holes in it.

Where/which brand do you guys recommend as an aftermarket OEM sound replacement? I mean, not loud.
Can I paint the muffler with some kind of primer/high temp paint to prevent future rust as much as possible? I would like something black like newer cars have that zinc coating.

TIA

PS, the cat shield rattle at 2000rpm came up. I guess the guy banging on the pipes made the shield come loose. Off to the hardware store for worm type fastners.

If the holes in the muffler are both centered along the lower crimp seam of the Muffler's end caps (1/8" Diam), they are normal - and are supposed to be there for drainage - anything larger... ShitCan it!

Walker, Maremont, Arvin or OEM Honda

Painting the muffler may slow down the corrosion, but most mufflers rust out from the inside. This can't be controlled short of using non-corrosive materials.

Thanks P. The car is super quiet now. Im not sure where the holes were, but there were two. He pointed them out, but I dont remember. Anyways, Ill just wait it out until the car gets loud since it doesnt impact the wallet to wait and the car sounds fine atm.

Now onto the cat shields
