header problems
I have a 91 civic si and im swapping a b16a into it. I heard that there are a lot of problems, especially with dc headers, with bottoming out when you car is lowered. I plan to lower my car about 2 and a half inches from the stock ride height. What header should i buy so i wont bottom out? I also heard that you can buy an aftermarket cross member and that will fix the problem. Is this true and if so where can i get the cross member?
It's a part of owning a header
you can get a skid pad for it.
Hasport's header is pretty much made to clear not proform but its better then OEM.

4-1 headers bottom out pretty bad
4-2-1 not so bad
if you have a b-seies with a 4-1 header you need an aftermarket crossmember
p.s. why is this an open pole by tomorrow morning there is gona be all sorts of stupid **** up there

There's no reason why any one should be hitting their headers on the ground. If you have coilovers, you can adjust the height to where you get great perfomance and looks without damaging any part of your car. I've been running DC's 4-1 JDM Type-r header for 3 years now and not a single scratch on it! In my mind drop springs are a waste of money, just send the extra $200-$300 for coilovers and get the adjustablity. That's my take on that, but to answer your question, the 4-2-1 will work better with a bottoming-out civic/crx.
